Vikings center John Sullivan may have been left off the NFC Pro Bowl roster, but his steady, solid work in the middle of the Minnesota line have been recognized nonetheless.
Sullivan, an Old Greenwich native, was named to Sports Illustrated writer Peter King’s All-Pro team. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/nfl/photos/1301/nfl-peter-king-all-pro-team/
Sullivan, who checks in at 6-foot-4, 301 pounds, is in his fifth year out of Notre Dame. He started all 16 games for Minnesota and was the anchor of an offensive line that paved the way for running back Adrian Peterson’s MVP-caliber season.
Peterson, coming off major knee surgery, rushed for 2,097 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, leading the Vikings to 10-6 finish and an NFC Wildcard berth.
