Wednesday’s stars of the day

Congratulations to Todd Stafford (Brunswick football), Jenna Hascher (Sacred Heart soccer) and Emilia Tapsall (Greenwich Academy field hockey) for signing their National Letters of Intent on Wednesday. We wish them the best of luck as they continue their athletic careers in college.

Wednesday’s schedule was pretty light, but there were still some impressive performances. Here’s the stars.

Sam Fraser, Brunswick basketball: Fraser scored 23 points to lift the Bruins past Hopkins, 65-56.

Gryphon Richardson, Brunswick hockey: The senior goalie made 25 saves for Brunswick, which edged Lawrenceville School in overtime, 1-0.

Pam Schulman, Greenwich Academy hockey: Schulman registered four assists in the Gators’ 4-1 win vs. Taft.

Galen Hughes, Greenwich Academy basketball: Hughes scored 19 points to power GA to a 30-26 victory against Millbrook.

Ed Moss, Thomas Dillinger, Greenwich High swimming: Moss (50, 100 freestyle) and Dillinger (200, 500 freestyle) each won two events for the Cardinals, who routed Wilton, 133-53.
