Coach Mike Mora with 2014 captains Kyle Dunster, Jonathan Dreher and J.T. Hintzen

Sunday the Greenwich baseball team held it’s Baseball Banquet at Zody’s 19th Hole.

Along with honoring this year’s team, Coach Mike Mora named Kyle Dunster, Jonathan Dreher  and J.T. Hintzen as captains for the 2014 season.

Varsity Award Winners :

 MVP – Taylor Olmstead

Coaches Award – Ryan Marks

Most Improved – Vincent Ferraro

 Most Improved – Ricky Okazaki

Most Improved – Liam O’Neil

Scholar Athlete – Ryota Fujikura

Sportsmanship - Michelangelo Federici

Okazaki and Ferraro earned Most Improved for being able to make smooth transitions at new positions, Okazaki going from catcher to shortstop and Ferraro for going from short to second base, and O’Neil earned the honor for returning to baseball after two years away and earning a starting position at first base.

Ferraro was also the Cardinals most improved hitter, settling into the No. 4 hole by seasons end.
