Brunswick School graduate Daniel Taylor, a junior midfielder on the Brown University men’s soccer team, was named the Ivy League Player of the Week.

Taylor, who graduated from Brunswick in 2011, scored in the 105th minute to give Brown a 2-1 win over Ivy League rival Penn this past Saturday. Taylor’s third goal of the season kept the Bears alive in the Ivy League title race and gave Penn its first league loss of the season. Brown is currently 6-6-3 on the season.

For the season, Taylor leads Brown with 11 points and five assists. Taylor was a three-year starter on the Brunswick soccer team, where he served as a captain in 2010. He was named to the WNEPSSA Select Team in 2009 and 2010 and earned WNEPSSA All-Star honors in 2010. He also was named to the CSCA All-State team in 2009 and 2010.
