Service into Grand Central Terminal was delayed for about 30 minutes in Harrison, N.Y. this morning, Metro North Railroad officials said. Service on the New Haven Line resumed normal operations shortly before 9 a.m., MTA spokesman Salvatore Arena said.
Police in Harrison, N.Y. requested at 7 a.m. that power be cut and trains held in the Mamaroneck, Larchmont and Harrison area while they pursued a suspect, Arena said Service resumed through the area but at reduced speeds at 7:38 a.m., he said. In all 10 trains were affected, the MTA official said.
A call to Harrison police was not immediately returned.
