The Merritt Parkway is closed on the northbound side between Exits 55B and 56 because of a two-vehicle accident.
The crash occurred around 4:30 p.m. Monday. The Department of Transportation estimates it could take up to two hours to clear the accident.
It was not immediately known if anyone was injured.
A 3-vehicle crash on the Merritt Parkway northbound between exits 44 and 46 closed the right lane of the roadway for a little more than a half hour Monday.
The crash happened around 2:35 p.m., and it is was cleared around 3:05 p.m.
It was not immediately known if anyone was injured in the crash.
