Flooding no longer an issue

Officials in Danbury and Bethel have not had any issues with flooding today, after heavy rains led to several road closures last night. Authorities on Thursday closed a section of Route 53 in Bethel after last night’s storms flooded the road. The road was reopened shortly afterward.

Which is not to say that the area is in the clear, yet. The National Weather Service predicts that as much as an inch of rain will fall through Sunday.
