Southwestern Connecticut traffic updates from the staff at Hearst Connecticut Media Group

7:30 a.m. traffic update

|

With most of the rain stopped, one factor in today’s commute has been eliminated.

But we still have congestion that’s starting to with across southwestern Connecticut.

Interstate 95

Not a bad ride. The only traffic jam is near Exit 27 in B-Port down to Exit 22 in Fairfield.

Starting to slow in Westport and Norwalk, but still no major headache.

It’s a nice easy ride east toward New Haven.

Southbound in Long Wharf there is a two-vehicle accident on between Exits 51 and 48 that has closed the right lane.

Merritt Parkway

As usual the Route 8 interchange in Trumbull to Exit 44 in Fairfield is a slow go.

After that speeds pick up.

Get on the roads while they are still good.

Metro-North

Main New Haven Line trains running on or close to schedule.
