Interstate 95

Exit 17 in Westport is where a long line of SB traffic starts.

Exit 17 in Westport is where a long line of SB traffic starts.

The southbound wave of traffic has moved Down County.

Good ride through Bridgeport to Exit 22 in Fairfield. Live cam.

At Exit 17 in Westport, you’re slammed with bumper to bumper traffic. Live cam.

Then, it’s a slow 11-mile crawl, about 30 mph, through Norwallk and beyond Exit 11 in Darien. Hey, it’s almost the weekend.

Picks up around Stamford and a good sail down to Greenwich. Live cam.

Merritt Parkway

Lots of company on the parkway that is marking it’s 75th birthday. Sure there wasn’t this much traffic in 1938.

There is a solid line of traffic all the way down from Exit 49 in Trumbull  to New Canaan. A slow drive.

Route 8

Typical SB slowdown mess at the Commodore Hull Bridge in Shelton.

The good news? The state is FINALLY resurfacing a long section of Route 8 through the Valley. Watch for milling and rough road surfaces both directions. Work won’t be completed until August.

Father south in Bridgeport, there’s a slowdown near the 95 merge.

Interstate 84

Good rolling around Danbury; Waterbury is much improved in the last half-hour.

Route 7

Traffic bunching up at the I-95 merge.

Metro-North

On or close to schedule.
