Southwestern Connecticut traffic updates from the staff at Hearst Connecticut Media Group

8 a.m. traffic update

|

Not too bad of a rush hour on southwestern Connecticut roads.

Sure there’s some congestion, but what do you expect?

Traffic is moving at a decent clip and fortunately there have been no accidents.

Interstate 95

It's been a good commute this AM. Traffic is moving SB near Exit 8 in Stamford.

It’s been a good commute this AM. Traffic is moving SB near Exit 8 in Stamford.

Heaviest delay is SB  between Exits 27A in Bridgeport (live cam), down to Exit 14 in Norwalk (live cam). That’s about 14 miles.

Past Norwalk, southbound is also congested between Exits 8 and 5 (live cam) for about 3 miles.

Still a decent ride.

Merritt Parkway

Lots of company and slow going  between Exits 47 in Trumbull and Exit 41 in Westport. That’s about 8 miles of slow going.

Bunches up and slows near Route 7 in Norwalk and around North Stamford.

Interstate 84

Starting to tighten in Danbury, but still OK.

Metro-North

On or close to schedule.
