Metro North Railroad will continue to provide bus service in place of the train on its Waterbury Branch line this morning. Bus service will be provided for the 8 a.m. train departing Bridgeport and the 9:15  train departing Waterbury. The buses will make all station stops.

Traffic on I-95 is still very heavy through Bridgeport and it tightens up again at the Westport-Norwalk line, but not as much as the Park City crawl.

The Merritt Parkway is busy but moving from the Moses Wheeler Bridge to Exit 49 in Bridgeport, where it is backed up for nearly 11 miles, to Exit 42, beyond the No Exit Zone (of course).

Route 8 remains clear through the Valley.

If your commute takes you onto I-84 be aware that accidents on the westbound side are slowing things up in both East Hartford and West Hartford right now, and heavy volume means stop-and-go travel on I-84 through Waterbury.
