They are standing still at the bottom of the Route 8/25 connector in Bridgeport, waiting to get onto I-95. The back-up begins at Exit 2, Fairfield Avenue, but you’ll be slowing down well before that.

It’s busy through Bridgeport on I-95 southbound. Here’s a fun game while you’re stuck in traffic: instead of counting out of state licenses plates, look for coffee cups in holders and hands. How many of your fellow commuters are fueling up?

There is roadwork on both sides of the Moses Wheeler Bridge that will slow traffic somewhat, though crews are not working in the roadway itself. Workers are still on the northbound side of I-95 in Norwalk, between exits 11-13.

A roadwork project is going on between exits 27-33 in both directions on the Merritt parkway, though that is expected to clear before rush hour really gets going.

There is an accident at Exit 40 on the Merritt Parkway in Norwalk that should clear soon.

There is also roadwork on I-84 in Newtown this morning, on the westbound side of the highway between exits 11-9.

Other than that, it still looks pretty peaceful out there.

Although it sounds counter-intuitive , if you are stuck in traffic and your radiator is about to boil over, turn your HEATER on. It circulates the water and can cool the engine.
