Traffic is still heavy on both the Merritt Parkway and on I-95.
Is everybody running late today?
The situation on the Merritt is worse: everything between the Route 8 and Route 7 connectors is moving sluggishly, at an average speed of 16-23 miles per hour, according to our friends at the DOT.
There are no accidents on the parkway at the moment; just a lot of cars and light trucks trying to get somewhere southbound.
I-95 has a back up on the far side of the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge, in East Haven, and a longer one from Mill Plain Road in Fairfield to Saugatuck Avenue in Norwalk. Things are moving, but S-L-O-W-L-Y.
There are no significant delays on Metro North trains into Grand Central and Route 8 is wide open through the Valley.
