Southwestern Connecticut traffic updates from the staff at Hearst Connecticut Media Group

Morning commute ending with a nice finish

|

Looks like we’re winding down the morning commute with a nice finish.

All morning long there have been no major backups or accidents on major southwestern Connecticut roads.

Merritt Parkway

Been good all morning. The usually jammed southbound stretch between Trumbull and Fairfield has been hassle-free.

The only slowdown on the Merritt is just past the Route 7 merge into New Canaan.

The Wilbur Cross has also been a breeze this morning.

Interstate 95

Just a few pockets of congestion, but not bad at all.

There’s lot of spaces between cars traveling near the speed limit.

Speeds are reduced starting in Westport and through Norwalk, but traffic is still cruising along in the upper 40s mph.

Over in New Haven there are delays along Long Wharf and southbound over the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge.
