Southwestern Connecticut traffic updates from the staff at Hearst Connecticut Media Group

Delays getting longer on SW CT roads

|

Merritt Parkway

Very heavy delays, southbound, starting in Trumbull at White Plains Road down to Exit 44 in Fairfield. In that stretch, speeds are struggling to get out of the teens.

Past Exit 44, traffic “picks up” into the 30s mph range until Exit 41 in Westport.

Past that it’s a nice roll through Norwalk and Stamford to the NY line.

Still some room between vehicles southbound on I-95 in Darien.

Interstate 95

Worst congestion is southbound from Exit 27 in Bridgeport down to Exit 22 in Fairfield.

Then it’s a good ride to Exit 17 in Westport where it bunches up again for a crawl through Norwalk and onto Stamford.

Interstate 84

Heaviest traffic is westbound from Southbury to Brookfield.

No problems around Danbury.

In Waterbury, eastbound lanes are jammed from The Mixmaster past the Brass City Mall.

Metro-North

On or close to schedule.
