We finally getting a break from commuting hell. At least on the Merritt Parkway and I-95.
It’s a very good ride on the Merritt with speeds in the upper 50s mph in both directions.
Early today, congestion on the parkway lasted for nearly 28 miles.
Interstate 95 is also in decent shape.
The slowest speeds are southbound between Exit 18 in Westport down to Exit 14 in Norwalk.
This morning’s heavy delays were caused in part by many Metro-North commuters taking cars to work because of service disruption between Stamford and Grand Central Terminal.
Looks like the PM commute could be tough as the morning.
