What you need to know for Monday’s commute

Metro-North officials say the railroad will provide about half of its normal service Monday as workers continue to work toward a permanent solution to the power outage affecting a stretch of the New Haven Line. The railroad estimates full service might not be restored until Oct. 8.

In the meantime, a temporary fix will allow limited electrical rail service. The railroad has released a special schedule for Monday, which you can view by clicking here.

Metro-North has arranged for 8,600 free park-and-ride spaces for commuters. For the locations of these space and for more information, click here.
