I-95 southbound is jammed from Exit 27 in downtown Bridgeport to Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk — about 17 miles — and again, though not as badly, through Stamford.

The Merritt Parkway is slow from the Route 11 exit in Trumbull to Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield.

Route 8 north in Naugatuck is crawling near the Route 63 and North Main Street exits, where an accident has just been cleared.

The south side of Route 8 is slowed by heavy traffic from Exit 20 in Seymour to exit 15 in Derby.

Metro North has resumed regular service and schedules on its New Canaan branch, after earlier circuit problems.
