Southwestern Connecticut traffic updates from the staff at Hearst Connecticut Media Group

Roads clear as storm rolls in

|

The snow is on the way, but there’s some good news: traffic is moving pretty smoothly as many people try to get home ahead quickly.

Speeds on Interstate 95 and the Merritt Parkway appear to be in the 50s, but you might want to take it a bit slower in case the snow starts early. No major accidents are out there at this time.

However, for tomorrow, you need to make some plans: Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy says there will likely be delays on the roads and with public transportation. Also, you’ll need time to dig out and for your town to plow the roads. If possible, you might want to work from home for tomorrow morning.
