Avoid I-95 in New Haven if you can. There’s an accident tying up traffic:

It’s flowing pretty smoothly in our area, with pockets of slow traffic in Bridgeport, Norwalk and Stamford.

The Merritt is also in fine shape, with a bit of a delay in North Stamford.

The delays are spreading now, into Norwalk. It’s still not a bad ride at all for a weekday morning.

On I-95 south there are two pockets of heavy volume: at the Bridgeport–Fairfield line and again through Norwalk.

The Merritt Parkway is in even better shape, with some slowdown at the Route 111 exit in Trumbull.

Starting to see the first signs of congestion.

It’s at the usual bottlenecks:

On the Merritt Parkway southbound in Trumbull just past the Route 25 intersection down to Exit 44 in Fairfield.

On I-95 south in Bridgeport from Exit 26 to Exit 22 in Fairfield.

And near SB I-95 in Norwalk near Exit 15.

The first delay due to traffic volume is being reported by the state DOT. It’s on I-95 south, from Exit 27 in downtown Bridgeport, to Exit 22 in Fairfield.

If you commute often, you know this is where it often starts…

It's a good ride near Exit 9 in downtown Stamford this early AM.

No problems or accidents on the roads of southwest Connecticut this AM.

Major highways like I-95, the Merritt/Wilbur Cross parkways, Route 25, 8, I-84 and I-91 are problem free as the AM commute starts.

And Metro-North is reporting trains are on or close to schedule.
