Metro North engineers to be tested for sleep apnea


A new Metro-North directive would require the 350 engineers who work for the railway to be evaluated in the coming months for sleep apnea, according to WABC TV in New York City.

Earlier this month, the National Transportation Safety Board revealed that the engineer in a Dec. 1 derailment in the Bronx has a  severe form of sleep apnea.  The incident left four people dead and dozens injured.
