Still slow going SB from Trumbull to Exit 41 Westport. There’s also another southbound slowdown just past the Route 7 intersection in Norwalk down to Stamford.
In decent shape. Sure, there are some slowdowns, but no major problems.

Finally, starting to see some easing of traffic congestion.
That earlier SB accident near Exit 48 has been cleared. Southbound traffic, however, is still crawling in the teens from Trumbull to Westport.
Slowest SB bands of traffic are from Bridgeport to Fairfield and from Exit 18 in Westport to Exit 13 in Darien.
Northbound traffic is slow from Rye, NY to Exit 3 in Greenwich.

NB accident on I-95′s Moses Wheeler Bridge has been cleared.
Southbound I-95 remains a crawl from Bridgeport to Darien.
Southbound remains a mess from Trumbull to Westport with speeds in the teens.
SB delays now stretch to Route 8 from earlier accident that is still blocking the right line near Exit 48.
Westbound traffic is slow several miles from Southbury to Newtown with speeds knocked down in the teens just past the Housatonic River Bridge.
Heavy westbound delays just over the NY state line from earlier accident on I-684.
UPDATE: 7: 56 AM
There is now a southbound accident on the Merritt Parkway near Exit 48 in Trumbull. It has blocked the right lane.
Not good because this area is always jammed at this time. Expect to see a backup on the Merritt merge from Route 8 south.
Already southbound traffic was crawling from Trumbull to Westport.
Solid southbound delays from Bridgeport to Darien, with a slight break between Fairfield and Westport.
Earlier NB accident on Moses Wheeler Bridge still slowing traffic. Delays are getting longer, stretching to Exit 31.
That SB accident on I-684 in New York is starting to mess up westbound traffic on I-84 almost to the Connecticut border.
Slow going southbound across the Commodore Issac Hull bridge in the Valley.
UPDATE: 7:50 AM
That northbound accident on the Moses Wheeler Bridge should be cleared shortly.
One person has been taken to the hospital; no word on extent of injuries.
The only change in traffic conditions is an accident on I-684 over the border in New York state that has closed a right lane from I-84 to Exit 9.
UPDATE: 7:30 AM
There is an accident in a northbound lane of the Moses Wheeler Bridge on I-95 in Stratford.
The crash, involving a car and a truck, has shut down the left lane, between Exits 33 and 34
Police dispatches say there are injuries.
Traffic cams show that traffic is moving, but at a crawling pace.
The accident was reported at 7:22 AM.
Meanwhile, southbound I-95 remains heavy from Bridgeport to Westport.
There is also a slowdown in the Norwalk/Darien corridor.
There are southbound slowdowns from Trumbull to Westport with the slowest traffic near the Route 25 intersection.
The biggest problem is eastbound in Waterbury where a disabled vehicle is messing up things just past the Mixmaster,

Traffic is getting heavier by the minute.
We’re jammed from the Route 8/25 merge down to Exit 20 in Fairfield.
Heading down Route 8/25, you’re slow about a mile from the 95 merge.
In Norwalk/Darien, southbound traffic speeds are knocked down into upper 20s MPH.
Starting to become a slower ride to and from New Haven.
Southbound is also jammed here from Route 25 in Trumbull down to Exit 44 in Fairfield.
Westbound traffic is in the low 40s from Southbury to Newtown.
In Waterbury, eastbound traffic is crawling past the Mixmaster.
UPDATE: 6:50 AM
We know have southbound speeds knocked down into the teens in the stretch between Bridgeport and Fairfield. Expect that to lengthen in the next half-hour.
As expected, we have a southbound slowdown in Trumbull, just past the Route 25 intersection.
In Southbury we’re stating to see a westbound slowdown.
UPDATE: 6:27 AM
Southbound traffic is starting building between Bridgeport and Fairfield. Speeds are in the upper 30s to low 30s.
Still in great shape, but soon we’ll see a southbound slowdown in Trumbull, just after the Route 25 intersection.
All other roads in great shape.
UPDATE: 6:03 AM
Still a great ride on the roads and rails of southwest Connecticut.
No accidents or backups to report.
UPDATE: 5:40 AM
We’re starting to see some southbound delays on I-95 in the Long Wharf area. That’s because of the ongoing work near the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge.
Some roads in the Westville section of New Haven are closed because of a fire at Delaney’s Tap Room.
Whalley Avenue is closed between Fountain and Ella Grasso Blvd. for the firefighting effort.

No major road problems to deal with this early AM.
There are some lingering road projects finishing up, including one on I-84 west between exits 9 and 10 in Newtown.
All other roads are in good shape.
Metro-North is also reporting trains are on or close to schedule.
