Road work in Westchester County continues

Greenwich and Stamford drivers heading through Westchester County may want to keep in mind continuing daytime roadwork in Westchester County next week. The New York State DOT has advised travelers there will be lane closures on I-684 northbound between exit 1 and 2 in the Town of Harrison and southbound between exits 6 and 4 in Bedford, N.Y.

Westchester County

Motorists are advised that the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will be conducting lane closures on northbound I?684 between Exit 1 (I?287) and Exit 2 (NY 120) Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20.
The left and center lanes will be closed from 10am to 2pm daily weather permitting for drainage installation.

I-684 Lane Closures
Town of Bedford, Westchester County

Motorists are advised that lane closures will occur on southbound I-684 between Exit 6 (NY 35) and Exit 4 (NY 172) between the hours of 10:30AM and 3:30PM Monday, May 16 through Friday, May 20. The southbound middle and left lanes will be closed daily to allow workers to perform bridge maintenance activities.
Motorists are asked to use caution when traveling through the work area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including work zone signs and flaggers. Travelers are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of the driver’s license.
