Kerry Perry has jumped back into the lead after he birdied No. 11 to climb to 14-under. What happened to John Merrick, you ask? Merrick, who had been tied with Perry at 13-under, hit his tee shot on No. 12 out of bounds (way, way left) and took a double bogey to drop to 11-under. Hunter Mahan (remember him?) the 2007 Travelers champ, is ripping the TPC River Highlands apart, standing 8-under through 15 holes to get to 12-under.
How much does Mahan like the TPC? In his past three tournaments here, he’s gone second, first and second, a combined 43-under par. Wow.
