THS Marching Band kicks off Door-to-Door Campaign

Door-to-Door Campaign begins

The musicians and color guard of the Trumbull High School marching band will conduct their annual door-to-door fund-raising campaign starting Saturday, August 29th. The door-to-door campaign is one of the band’s most important fund-raisers. Donations will support the band as it seeks to add  to its list of accomplishments.

While the music portion of the band program is part of the high school curriculum, the band relies on fund-raising to pay for competitions and other activities which bring regional and even national recognition to Trumbull.

The band has taken part in many nationally televised parades such as the 2001 and 2009 Presidential Inauguration Parades in Washington, DC. The band’s winter programs have also achieved national recognition. The Winter Percussion program took second place in their national competition in Dayton, Ohio last April. The Winter Color Guard group moved up to 11th place nationally this year.

Band members will visit all Trumbull neighborhoods and can be identified by their Golden Eagle Marching Band t-shirts. The drive ends on September 6th.
