Hartford’s Kuran Iverson became the latest Connecticut hoopster to make his Division I dream a reality. This past week, the 6-foot-8 Iverson, ranked in the top 25 nationally, verbally committed to Memphis. He had been recruited by UConn, but word out of Storrs is that the Huskies stopped chasing him sometime this summer.
Over the years, UConn has signed some in-state stars (Andre Drummond, Doug Wiggins, Tyler Olander) and missed on others (Jordan Williams, Kris Dunn).
