Report: UConn urges Morgan High to change Husky logo

by:

An interesting tidbit of news came across the web last night: UConn, the state university and national basketball powerhouse, has a problem with the Husky logo used by Morgan high school, located in tiny Clinton, Conn.

Yes, the logo does seem very similar (or identical). But c’mon. If every high school in the country had to change its logo so it didn’t overlap with a college or pro team, then….well the logo business would be thriving.

As pointed out in The New Haven Register story, Guilford High uses the same “G” as the Green Bay Packers.

Then you have Weston High, which uses the exact same Trojan logo, only in blue, as Southern Cal. I’m sure there are plenty of other examples, too.
