Napier a game-time decision vs. Pitt

|

Shabazz Napier practiced with some discomfort Friday, according to a team spokesperson, and is listed as a game-time decision for Saturday’s clash with Pittsburgh.

Napier, averaging a team-high 17.1 points to go with 4.4 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.1 steals, will receive treatment Friday night for a left shoulder contusion suffered in the opening minutes against Louisville.

If Napier misses the game, it’s likely that Niels Giffey and R.J. Evans will see more minutes. Giffey practiced with the first team Thursday and said he and DeAndre Daniels will both play the “three and the four.” The injury forces Omar Calhoun, a streaky spot-up shooter, to assume more ballhandling duties.
