Despite a 10-for-27 shooting shooting performance, UConn took a 29-24 lead into halftime Saturday against Cincinnati.
Junior point guard Shabazz Napier, ruled a game-time decision Friday, did not play. He sat on the bench in an old UConn warmup with a walking boot on his sprained right foot.
DeAndre Daniels and Ryan Boatright each scored nine points for UConn, and Phil Nolan contributed five points and five boards.
Cincinnati, which has lost five of its last six, was horrific offensively, hitting 10-of-36 field goal attempts and 3-for-15 shots from beyond the arc.
