UConn’s 2013-14 season will tip at 6:30 p.m. against Maryland at the Barclays Center on Nov. 8.
On the same night, UConn football hosts Louisville at Rentschler Field. The school announced Friday that the football game would kick-off at 8:30 p.m. Both games are nationally-televised on ESPN2.
That leaves fans a few options: Go to the basketball game and catch the football game a bar in Brooklyn (not bad); go to the football game and miss most of the basketball game; go to neither and watch both from home.
One of my Twitter followers, Dennis Barnes (@uconndennis), suggested that UConn broadcast the basketball game on The Rentschler Field JumboTron, thus urging fans to enter the stadium early. Now that’s a good idea.
