DUI charges against Olander dropped

The DUI charge against UConn senior Tyler Olander was dropped Monday, according to reports from The New Haven Register and The Journal Inquirer and The Hartford Courant.

Olander reportedly paid a $75 fine for driving without a license.

He failed the field sobriety test, according to the police report, but twice was under the legal limit of 0.08 when tested with the breathalyzer.

Still suspended indefinitely from the Sept. 7 arrest, Olander hopes to rejoin the team as the season approaches. UConn’s first official practice is either Friday or Saturday. The annual Husky Run is scheduled for Wednesday.
