AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
J.J. Worton • Jr. • WR • UCF

Worton delivered what might well have been the top play of the college football season as part of an overall outstanding performance in UCF’s 39-36 win at Temple, keeping the Knights unbeaten in American Athletic Conference play. His diving, one-handed touchdown reception with 1:06 left in the fourth quarter tied the game at 36-36 and capped a 10-catch, 179-yard, three-touchdown effort. Worton had touchdown receptions of 4, 38 and 30 yards, and twice gave the Knights a lead as part of a game that produced 10 lead changes.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Bobby McCain • Jr. • CB • Memphis

McCain tied a school record and set an American Athletic Conference single-game mark with three interceptions in the Tigers’ 23-10 win at USF. His first interception set up a field goal for the Tigers’ first points of the game, while his last two picks came in the fourth quarter to clinch Memphis’ first conference victory. He scored a touchdown on a 36-yard interception return and had his third pick on the game’s final play.

AMERICAN ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Jake Elliott • Fr. • K • Memphis

Elliott scored 11 points, going 3-for-3 on field goal attempts and 2-for-2 on PATs, to help Memphis to its first American Athletic Conference victory — a 23-10 win at USF. Elliott set conference and school records with a 56-yard field goal with 12 seconds left in the first half, while he also connected from 19 and 34 yards. Elliott has made 14 of his 15 field goal attempts this season and his .933 percentage ranks 10th in FBS.

Scored 13 points, going 3-for-3 on field goal attempts, including the game-winning kick from 23 yards as time expired in a 39-36 win at Temple.

Brendon Kay • Sr. • QB • Cincinnati
Completed 24 of 38 passes for 405 yards and four touchdowns in a 52-17 win at Rutgers.

Roy Philon • So. • DT • Louisville
Had seven tackles, a sack and three tackles for loss in a 20-13 win against Houston. Helped limit the Cougars to 74 rushing yards and 195 total yards.

Garrett Gilbert • Sr. • QB • SMU
Completed 33 of 52 passes for 353 yards and four touchdowns in a 38-21 win against UConn.

P.J. Walker • Fr. • QB • Temple
Completed 26 of 44 passes for 382 yards and four touchdowns and rushed for 41 yards and a TD in a 39-36 loss to UCF.
