In preparation of the approaching Winter Storm Nemo, Stop & Shop New England Division announced Thursday it has extended the hours of all store locations and Stop & Shop gas stations Thursday, Feb. 7 and Friday, February 8.

All New England Stop & Shop locations will remain open until midnight on Thursday, Feb. 7 and will open at 6 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8.

Officials recommend residents stock up on supplies such as water among other supplies that may be necessary should power outages occur.

“With record amounts of snow predicted for New England, Stop & Shop is doing all we can to help our customers prepare for the storm,” said Suzi Robinson, spokesperson for Stop & Shop New England Division. “We are working closely with our store and transportation teams and supplier partners to keep our stores stocked and ready to serve our communities.”

I think today stores should be closing early. If you haven’t been able to get to the store yesterday or today then that’s too bad. Employees need to get home safe

And don’t forget to stock up on toilet paper….make sure it is the kind made from recycled paper

I visited every area store. I bought every last piece of bread, milk, water and batteries left on the shelves, so better look elsewhere.
