Gov. Dannell Malloy has told people to stay off the roads during Friday’s nor’easter. So have local officials and weather forecasters.
Southbury First Selectman Ed Edelson said he thinks people will take that message to heart.
“I think people understand that getting stranded in this storm is not a risk worth ,” he said.
Edelson said with town roads crews are the ready, and the town’s emergency response office activated at the Police Department, the question that now must be answered is: how bad will the storm be?
“If’ it’s just a big snow storm, that’s OK, we can handle that.” he said. “But they’re saying high winds. That could mean power outages. It could mean a real emergency situation.”
