Ridgefield gets ready for storm

|

With Friday’s nor’easter approaching, First Selectman Rudy Marconi announced  the town’s  Emergency Operations Team was assembled and prepared to help town residents.

“ This blizzard is expected to produce white-out conditions with high winds that have the potential to cause power outages and driving challenges.” Marconi said.

With the Gov. Dannell Malloy closing state highways at noon, Marconi advised town residents to stay off all roads and shelter in place throughout the duration of the blizzard.

All town offices and the Parks & Recreation Department closed Friday at 11 am.

Marconi said town residents with a cell phone will receive alertsby logging onto  www.ctalert.gov. Town residents can go to the town website at www.ridgefieldct.org  to update your profile information.

As always, please call 911 in an emergency.   All town highway and emergency operations personnel are standing by.
