At 8:45 a.m., Kevin Nursick, spokesman for the state Department of Transportation, by order of Gov. Dannel Malloy, state roads were still closed, and likely to remain so for several hours.
The problems, Nursick said, is that there is so mucjh snow on the road after the 2013 blizzard that state crews simply haven’t been able to move it all away. Secondary roads are all still clogged as well, he said.
“You could travel on I-84,” Nursick said. “But you couldn’t get off any of the exit ramps.”
