State workers get another ‘snow day’ Monday

|

“Non-essential” state employees are getting another snow day off Monday by Gov. Dannel P. Malloy,

Malloy is asking all nonessential state employees to stay home on Monday as the clean up effort continues.

However, evening and midnight shift employees should report to work as normal on Monday.

“Getting streets clear and making them safer for everyone is a priority, so I am asking nonessential state employees to stay home tomorrow,” said  Malloy. “I understand that everyone wants to get back to normal as quickly as possible. Crews are working around the clock to accomplish that goal. But the last thing we need at this point is a typical morning rush hour commute. Traffic build-up will only delay the effort to clear our roads.”

The “non-essential employees” were also given Friday off because of the impending blizzard.

Welcome to The Peoples Republic of Bridgeport. Comrades Finch and Malloy should be sent to Siberia. Better yet, send them to a Tea Party get together for re-education. We are a 4th class city. If these are our very best, God save us all.

So what is a non-essential employee?
Someone employed and paid by the State (taxes) who really serves no
purpose. Good one! That’s why we love government…
