Weather updates for Fairfield County Connecticut

Heavy rain moving into area

|

The National Weather Service advises that a band of heavy rain is pushing into the area and that rain will be falling over much of Fairfield County by noon.

The front will move through rather quickly, but up to a half-inch of rain could fall onto saturated ground and swollen streams left from one of the wettest Junes on record.

The NWS has issued a flash flood warning for low-lying sections of Fairfield County and Milford. Streets that normally flood could become briefly impassable, the service warns, so use caution.
