It’s one of the coldest mornings in months.

It will get even colder tonight into Thursday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory from 2 to 9 a.m. Thursday for most of southern Connecticut.

Here’s the chilly forecast:

Today: A slight chance of light rain after 2pm. Areas of frost before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 52. Calm wind becoming north around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Tonight: Areas of frost after 2am. Otherwise, cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 34. Light northwest wind.

Thursday: Areas of frost before 9am. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a high near 54. Light west wind increasing to 9 to 14 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 25 mph.

Thursday: Night Widespread frost, mainly after 5am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 30. West wind 6 to 8 mph.

Friday: Widespread frost before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 55. Northwest wind 6 to 14 mph.

Friday Night: Widespread frost, mainly after 4am. Otherwise, mostly clear, with a low around 28.

Saturday: Widespread frost before 8am. Otherwise, partly sunny, with a high near 53.

Saturday Night: A chance of sprinkles. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35.
