Chance of light snow, temps to fall in 20s

It’s been a while since we heard this: there’s a chance of light snow early Tuesday morning.

But don’t dig out the snow shovel out yet. If there’s any snow, it will be in interior Connecticut not along the coast.

Besides, there’s little moisture associated with this front.

Even if we don’t see any flakes, it’s going to feel like December on Tuesday and Wednesday nights with temperatures in the 20s.

Here’s the wintry forecast:

Today: Increasing clouds, with a high near 49. West wind 7 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Tonight: A chance of rain before 4am, then a chance of rain and snow. Cloudy, with a low around 31. Southwest wind 8 to 11 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 50%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Tuesday: A chance of light snow before 7  am. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 40. Northwest wind 10 to 13 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 20. North wind 8 to 11 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 39. Northwest wind 7 to 14 mph.

Wednesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 23.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 50.

Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 53.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 33.
