As the region digs out from the weekend’s winter storm, hundreds of people across southern Connecticut are without power, most of them residents of Stratford.
United Illuminating reports that 784 customers are in the dark in Stratford. A majority appear to be affected by one outage that occurred around 6:45 a.m. UI says a crew is at the scene of the outage and that the power should be restored before noon.
The utility also reports that 79 customers are without power in Milford, as are 74 in Orange. Most of the outages in Orange stem from one event and the company says it’s got crews there, too. UI expects that problem to be fixed around 12:30 p.m. The Milford outages are scattered around town between several events.
Connecticut Light and Power is also reporting a few scattered outages in upper Fairfield County.
