Many inland t0wns saw some of the c0ldest temperatures in nearly 20 years early this morning.

Bradley International Airport broke its record min temperature this morning by dropping down to -9F. The previous record was -7 back in 1981. The last time Bradley saw temps this low was back on 2/5/1996.

Hartford: 0 degrees(at 2:33 through 6:53 a.m.)

The “warm” waters of Long Island Sound helped keep many coastal communities above zero.

Bridgeport: 4 degrees (at 2:52 a.m.)

New Haven: 5 degrees at 12:53 a.m.)

Today: Sunny, with a high near 26. Southwest wind 5 to 9 mph.

Tonight: Areas of fog after 1am. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 20. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph.

Sunday: A slight chance of freezing rain and sleet before noon, then a chance of freezing rain between noon and 1pm, then a chance of rain after 1pm. Areas of fog before noon. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 39. Calm wind becoming southeast around 6 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
