Arctic blast continues with chance of snow

The deep freeze continues and shows few signs of letting up.

At 6 AM, temperatures were 1 degree in Oxford, 3 in Danbury, 5 in Stamford and Greenwich, 6 in New Haven and 7 in Bridgeport.

Below zero wind chills this morning and again late tonight into Friday morning. Wind chills this morning will range from 0 to 10 below due to temperatures in the single digits and winds 5 to 10 MPH.

Another Arctic cold front will move across tonight with lows again in the single numbers to near zero.

And, yes there’s a chance of snow.

Here’s the forecast from the National Weather Service:

Today: Partly sunny, with a high near 14. Wind chill values as low as -9. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Tonight: Partly cloudy, with a low around 1. Wind chill values as low as -9. Northwest wind around 7 mph.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 14. Wind chill values as low as -12. Northwest wind 7 to 11 mph.

Friday Night: A slight chance of snow after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 9. Wind chill values as low as -3. Light southwest wind becoming south 8 to 13 mph in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

Saturday: Snow likely, mainly after 9am. Cloudy, with a high near 28. South wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 29 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Saturday Night: Scattered snow showers, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 8. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 22.

Sunday Night: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 17. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
