Cold weather science: Will winter deflate a balloon?

It’s 11 degrees Fahrenheit outside, so I went out again for another cold weather science experiment. This time, I see whether a balloon will deflate in the cold, as it is supposed to. Did this one work? Let’s see!

Sigh. I’m not sure if this keeps happening because it’s just not cold enough for this stuff to work, or if I’m just really bad at science. Maybe we’ll get this right someday.

UPDATE: I’m told that this only works with helium balloons, which was probably why our experiment didn’t work. So maybe we’ll try this again soon. Stay tuned.
