The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for Sunday night for the tri-state region that includes Southwestern Connecticut.
According to the NWS, there is a 90 percent chance of snowfall. One to two inches of snow is expected, and visibility could be reduced to half a mile. Drivers are urged to use extra caution.
The snow is expected to taper off before midnight, so impact on Monday morning’s commute should be minimal.
Clear skies are in the forecast Monday, but it won’t be warm enough to melt the snow. Monday’s high is 28 and the low is 12 degrees.
