West Norwalk Wanderings

West Norwalk news and views

Spring is finally here

Spring jumped in fast, but quickly retreated with the recent frost. Restless as most others.. I started raking, pulling weeds and sprinkling a few seeds in some pots. The sudden freeze snap caused me to glance at the  calendar again, remind myself of the month and keep the pots warm and protected.  When Spring finally is  here temperature wise, let me know which gardening activity you attack first. Is it pulling the weeds, or thatching the lawn or….?

My husband’s first activity is to pull out the lawn furniture, pour a cold drink and sit on the chair.. Hopefully all of you gardeners will do this after the chores are done…

So let me know which gardening activity is your first in the Spring?

  1. The first thing I do is rake and then put down fertilizer. Then I sit down and have a cold one.
