The Art of Eric von Schmidt

His work is amazing and well worth seeing as a collection.

When painter and musician Eric von Schmidt passed away in 2007, he was remembered both for his large historical paintings and for helping pioneer the music explosion of the late 1950s and early ‘60s with his spirited style of folk and blues guitar.

An exhibit of  his paintings, curated by his daughters Caitlin and Megan, are on display now through June 26 in The Great Hall. An opening reception for the exhibit will be held on Friday, April 5, from 6:00-7:30 pm.
