Fairfield YMCA Re-opens Its Doors and Welcomes Family Y Members

|

Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, located in Southport, is one of the area facilities that have hosted Family Y programs, like this Travel Basketball practice.

As the Westport Weston Family Y continues its efforts to resume operations, we are heartened to hear that our neighboring YMCA in Fairfield, which also sustained flood damage from Superstorm Sandy, has been able to reopen its doors to their Members and, through the Y’s “Always Home at the Y” AWAY reciprocal program, to Family Y members as well.

Here’s the notice on the Fairfield YMCA website:

We’re Excited to be Back!

Hours:  M – F 9:00 – 5:00, Sat – Sun 8:00 – 12:00 with Child Watch M – F 9:00 – 1:00, Sat 9:00 – 11:30

Come in to work out with our contractors who are repairing the heat and hot water. We’re excited to offer morning and noon Group X Classes, an open Cardiovascular Center and Basketball Gym.

Here’s the Class Schedule, and please be aware that Fairfield Y’s pool remains closed and that the facility has no heat or hot water at the present time. Also, their Preschool and After School Programs will continue to be closed for the next two weeks.

Here’s the current schedule for Family Y classes and programs taking place this week at alternate sites.
