The best thing you can do to help your family stay safe around the water is to enroll your children in age-appropriate swim lessons. The Westport Weston Family Y, with the generous support of the Stew Leonard III Children’s Charities, is making that fun, easy and FREE with a special Splash! Week program during the Spring School Break, Apr. 14-18, for children ages 3 to 12 years old.
Each morning of the week children will enjoy a 30-minute swim lesson, with the Y’s qualified instructors on hand to introduce strokes and help improve basic technique. The Y’s Splash! Week program will be offered in two age groups – 3-5 years and 6-12 – at the following times:
Splash! Week, Apr. 14-18
9:00-9:30 am, Ages 3-5
9:30-10:00 am, Ages 3-5
10:00-10:30 am, Ages 3-5
10:00-10:30 am, Ages 6-12
10:30-11:00 am, Ages 6-12

11:00-11:30 am, Ages 6-12
11:30 am-12:00 pm, Ages 6-12
“Thanks to Stew and Kim Leonard and their amazing water-safety foundation, the Y’s Splash! Week program over the Spring Break will be a wonderful opportunity for local kids to become more confident in the water so they may move on to participate in future swim-lesson programs,” says Nicole Turechek, Aquatic Director for the Family Y. “Think of it as a fun way for your kids to ‘test the waters’ for swim lessons. And best of all, it’s absolutely free to Y members and non-members alike.”
Space is limited in the Family Y’s Splash! Week over the April School Break, so early registration is strongly recommended.
