Happy birthday Elvis! You sure were crazy towards the end there

Today is Elvis’ 75th birthday. Wow! How exciting.

I’ve seen a lot of nifty retrospectives and remembrances of the King across the Internet. Here’s my contribution: An audio recording of one of Elvis’ last concerts. It’s a brilliant piece of dialogue, where he touches on rumors about his health and infidelity, mocks Fat Albert, plugs a friend’s book and brags about his black belt in karate. It’s a truly remarkable piece of tape:

Warning, the language gets a little graphic at times.

Quick and dirty poll: Who’s got your vote for senate this fall?

With U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd’s stunning announcement that he won’t seek re-election, the nation’s eyes have turned to the Nutmeg State to see who will replace him.

These polls are totally unscientific — and the candidates haven’t even gotten their party nominations yet — but we’re curious to see who our readers support in some of the possible senate race match ups this fall.

Submit your vote and be heard!
